About the club
Hapoel Beer Sheva Football Club was founded in 1949, and has established its position as the biggest football club in the South of the country.
Hapoel Beer Sheva is a symbol for the people of the South. The club enjoys the audience of loving fans, which is reflected in the slogan of clubs’ crest: “The Pride of Negev”.
Fans of the club accompany the team to any playtime throughout the country; our fans are role model and won the title of ”fair audience”.
The management group headed by Ms. Alona Barkat, the owner, sees football as an educational tool for social empowerment, using football education of young people for the values of excellence, tolerance and sportsmanship.
The club has a rich history and tradition of achievements, titles and throphies. Recently Hapoel Beer Sheva FC has established its position at the top of the Israeli Premier League, and over the years Hapoel Beer Sheva FC has won number of titles:

Hapoel Beer Sheva FC - Much More Than Football
"Our vision of Hapoel Beer Sheva Football club is much more than a football team. It is an organization that unites, represents and acts in Negev community. Football has a very significant force in education, culture and community life."
Over the years, Hapoel Beer Sheva does a lot for the community in the city and in the South of Israel generally. The club took part in large number of social projects including the adoption of special education schools, adoption of young people at risk, projects with children with Down syndrome etc. The leading line is education for tolerance and acceptance of others emphasizing interoperability with various communities that make up the diversified Negev region.

Youth Division
The youth division of Hapoel Beer Sheva has always been a source of pride to the city and the club, the division annually trains hundreds of young people, deals with education achievements, excellence together with the values of tolerance, knowledge and helping others. Over the years, the growth of the youth division Hapoel Beer  Sheva players who make it into senior team in Israel and major European teams. These include Elyaniv Barda senior team captain, Yossi Benayun and many others.

Stadium
At the beginning of the 1950s played in the sand field of the old city.
In 1959 the city inaugurated a new stadium covered in grass. .
In 1988, stadiums’ renovation was conducted from donations of Ms. Lilly Friedman .The stadium was called “Vasermil “named after Arthur Vasermil, Lili Fridman’s son who was murdered in the Holocaust.
These days the construction of a new and modern stadium in the city is to be completed. The stadium will be named after former mayor of Beer Sheva Yaakov Turner. The stadium has 16,000 seats; it is built according to European standards to the highest standards in Europe and can host international games.

In 1976 was Hapoel Beer Sheva FC together with Beitar Jerusalem have been the first Israeli teams to play internationally.
